Magic Wars: Demons of New Chicago

Haunted by Shadows

358 Pages Publication - 07 Jan, 2021

I used to hunt witches. Now I live with one.

To further complicate things, my past as a supernatural bounty hunter doesn’t exactly make me popular in these new circles I’m running in.

Shocker, I know.

Someone wants me dead.

Unfortunately for them, I’m pretty good at keeping myself alive. Not that it stops Ronan from being an alphahole.
He wants me to stay in Nathalie’s apartment and be safe while he handles the threat, all while holding Bree’s future over my head.

Not gonna happen.

To say I’m fucked is an understatement. But I’ve been in worse spots before.

Lucifer may be gone, but the corruption of magic isn’t. I have enemies everywhere.

And this time, they’re going to know what it means to burn.

Some things are worse than the devil.
To save Bree, I’ll become one of them.

What Reader's Say

"Kel Carpenter is most definitely the queen of werdz!!! I loved this book even more than the first one and that says a lot. Ronan and Piper, oh my! (Fans herself!) Piper is a kick butt character who is growing by leaps and bounds! A new big bad evil takes over hell and there are interesting twists and turns. The world building is amazing and Kel Carpenter is one of my one click authors! This book answers a lot of questions book 1 left you with, but the story raises new questions! Bring on book 3!"
“I am in awe with this author and her imagination and I am constantly on the lookout for one of her books. This series is incredible, with a seriously damaged heroine who is slowly growing into her own, with a little help (more like knocking her upside her head with some hard truths) from the relationships she is forming. Great characters, (slow building) fantastic friendship , a hero that is perfect for this heroine and an interesting and intriguing storyline. What else could you ask for??? Hmmm, the next book please"
“I could not wait for this book to come out and it was definitely worth it! Just like the first book I couldn’t not put it down until I was finished. This sequel was a thrill ride from the first page to the last. All of the characters grow a lot in this story but of course Piper the most. I love the bonds that Piper forms with Nat and Ronan. After that cliff hanger idk how I’m going to make it till March but after this book I know it was be worth the wait as well!"
